A cultural facility to satisfy citizen's ever-growing cultural desire, the Seongname Art Center offers various genres of cultural opportunities - operas, plays, music concerts, exhibitions, pop cultural performances, and many more. The Seongnam Art Center consists of the opera house, concert hall, ensemble theater, art museum, green zone, etc.
Since its opening in October 2005, some world-class musicians including violinist Gidon Kremer, Nigel Kennedy, and baritone Samuel Yun have
performed at the Seongnam Art Center, strengthening its color as a classic-oriented music hall. During hte same period, it has also hosted a
number of local cultural festivals like the Tancheon Stream Festival, Seongnam International Youth Symphony Festival, Seongnam International
Dancing Festival, etc.
In the meantime, the Seongnam Art Center Academy provides high-quality education on music, the fine arts, dancing and other fields of art so
that more citizens can be accessible to cultue and arts. The fountain near its entrance and the Strairway of Light stretching through the Plaza
of Dancing up to the concert hall are famous for their artistic beauty and excellence.
